CRIME IN ROYALWOOD

I have been informed about a number of car break-ins on several streets in Royalwood.  Unfortunately, none of these crimes were reported to the police department.

I realize it is frustrating and time consuming when you are the victim of such a crime. However, in order for the police to get an accurate picture of criminal activity in our development ALL crimes must be reported.  The police will not send a squad car to investigate car break-ins or vandalism but if such crimes go unreported, the police have no way of knowing if there is a pattern of crime developing or the volume of criminal activity.

Police patrols and staffing are determined from crime statistics, Reporting criminal activity is the only way the Winnipeg Police Services has a record of a problem and can therefore act on or make recommendations to improve the safety in our community.

Please do your part to keep our community safe. Take care.
