A Safe Neighborhood Begins With You!
The Winnipeg Police have introduced a new website to let the residents of Winnipeg know whats happening in their neighborhoods. Royalwood is in District 5. This site compares last year to this year, year to date, and has weekly comparisons.
All crimes in our neighborhood, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem, need to be reported. Police presence in any neighborhood is based upon crime rates. And crime rates are derived from reported incidents. If you report the crime, the presence increases. If no crime is reported, the police see no reason to increase their patrol of the area.
While reporting a crime may seem like a waste of time or a frustrating and difficult undertaking, it is worth it.
